Olivia Aspinall has been experimenting with surface design since her time at Central Saint Martins. Upon leaving the prestigious arts school she founded a Nottingham based studio in 2015 and has gone on to work on a number of bespoke projects. These have given her the opportunity to perfect the creation of her terrazzo slabs into durable yet decorative pieces that can offer an alternative to conventional stone, tile and cast surfaces.

This 25-square-metre micro house was conceived by Kodasema, and aims to instigate a movement of self-built architecture that encourages better use of empty land plots.
This delightful 600 square foot cabin was designed and built by the director of Midland Architecture; Greg Dutton and his brother Chris, as a retreat from the city for the family.
